- How is a gap analysis different from an audit?
- An audit tests conformance with a defined standard and produces findings and evidence. A gap analysis is forward-looking: it identifies what is missing relative to a target state and produces a plan to get there. Businesses preparing for certification or prequalification usually start with a gap analysis.
- What standard do you assess against?
- Whatever is relevant to you: your WHS legal obligations in the jurisdictions you operate in, ISO 45001, a client's prequalification criteria, or a scheme's requirements. We agree the target state before starting.
- Can this be done remotely?
- Documentation-based gap analysis can be done entirely remotely. Where the gap involves what happens on site rather than what is written down, a site visit gives a far more accurate result.
